Understanding your silhouette is literal magic! Proportions and balance are key to effortless and easy dressing, yet you aren’t born with this knowledge, you either know it or you don’t. BUT you can learn it!

If you don’t know it you’ve likely said these to yourself…

~This doesn’t look like it does on the model.

~I can’t wear A, B, and C because of X, Y and Z.

~Why doesn’t this look as good on me as it does my friend?

~Does this even suit me?

~I have nothing to wear!

What is a silhouette?

You will have heard of body shapes or silhouettes being referred to as fruits, such as ‘apples and pears’ and whilst this referencing is an easy visual it does seem a little odd calling ourselves by these names. So whilst I have in the past and continue to use these terms for ease of reference I am more focussed on your proportions, leaning into the following in your silhouette styling:

~Rounded (apple)

~Top Curvy (strawberry)

~Bottom Curvy (pear)

~Proportionate Small Waist (hourglass)

~Proportionate Straight (rectangle)

 

This experience is delivered to you as a digital pdf following a Zoom session (unless you have added this to complement an In Person Styling such as Colour You Confident OR a Wardrobe Styling) where I talk through beautifully created aesthetically pleasing slides, if I do say so myself, where we explore shapes and styles for your silhouette(s) across clothing pieces such as, but not limited to, jeans trousers and dresses.
